Collaborative Governance Shared Leadership

NEXUS Consortium Somalia operates under a participatory governance model that ensures strategic direction, operational transparency, and collective accountability. Our structure brings together core Somali NGOs through defined roles and responsibilities, enabling effective coordination, decision-making, and representation. It is designed to reflect the principles of local ownership, shared leadership, and equitable power distribution across the Consortium.

Steering Committee

Strategic Oversight Through Equal Member Representation

The Steering Committee sets the strategic direction of the Consortium. It is composed of one representative per member and chaired on a rotational basis to ensure shared leadership and accountability.

Nexus Secretariat

Operational Coordination and Strategic Facilitation Hub

The Secretariat leads day-to-day coordination, facilitates strategic alignment, manages communications, supports fundraising, and drives the implementation of consortium-wide priorities.

Project Committee

Technical Leadership for Program Quality and Delivery

The PC comprises technical and program leads from each member, guiding planning, monitoring, risk mitigation, and adaptive learning across all NEXUS-implemented programs

Fund Management

Transparent Resource Allocation and Fiduciary Oversight

Funds are managed through international partners under clear frameworks. The structure ensures compliance and equitable access, with a transition plan toward local ownership.
