Workshop Overview
The Nexus Consortium Somalia successfully held its 2nd Bi-Annual General Meeting (BAGM) in Garowe on 25th August 2025, bringing together member organizations. The workshop was organized alongside the Somali Humanitarian Hub (SHH) and the Humanitarian Policy Group (HPG/ODI), led by Dustin Barter.
The integrated workshop program ran from 23rd to 28th August 2025, as follows:
Guided by the principle “Gacmo wadajir bay wax ku gooyaan” (“Hands together can cut through anything”), the week blended governance, strategic planning, and applied research, making Garowe a hub of activity for the Nexus community
The Board is the highest decision-making body of Nexus Consortium, where members review progress, approve reports, and shape the consortium’s future direction.
This year’s meeting combined statutory governance functions with interactive workshops, energizers, and breakout sessions, reinforcing Nexus’s commitment to Somali-led localization, partnership-building, and collective action.
